Alternating 0° and 90° layers add strength and stability, while Double X Wrap Carbon matt taping at opposing 30° angles helps the blank resist twist, stay truer under load and recover more cleanly after compression.

The result is a range of short rods that feel sharp and modern in the hand yet stay composed when you need to apply pressure quickly and directly. They punch above their size in real fishing situations, with the kind of control that matters when playing carp at close quarters or steering fish away from danger.

As with the rest of the CTX Black Edition range, the build is brought fully up to date with DPS-18 Black reel seats, black acetal collars and ceramic-lined guides for durability and smooth line flow with braid, fluorocarbon or monofilament.
