This latest generation builds on the reputation of the original Tamer Pike rods, retaining the no-nonsense reliability that made them trusted tools for specialist predator anglers while updating the range for modern methods and venues. The move to full cork handles across every model gives a more traditional feel, a secure grip in cold and wet conditions, and a cleaner, more consistent family build.
At the core is high modulus carbon construction with our Perdurable blank finish, with no paint or lacquer to chip or dull. The blanks are slim, crisp and responsive in the hand, yet tough enough for long winters, big waters, powerful river flows and the hard-working life predator rods often lead.
The range has been developed around real pike fishing rather than a single generic action. The bank and big bait rods provide progressive casting power for deadbaits and long-range line control; the 10ft boat rods offer compact handling with strong lower-section authority; and the lure and jerk bait models give dedicated tools for fixed-spool lure fishing and multiplier work with bigger baits.

The following specification represents our standard stock build for the Tamer Pike range, with components selected for practical predator fishing, durability and dependable performance in demanding conditions. Full cork handles are used throughout for secure grip, comfort and traditional feel, while DPS or trigger reel seats are fitted depending on the style of rod. Black cradle-style guides complete the purposeful build, giving a strong, reliable specification for bank, boat, lure and jerk bait work.
