Tel’E’-Class blanks bring the proven feel of the main ‘E’-Class carp family into a far more compact, travel-friendly format. Built from high-quality Japanese carbons and designed around a telescopic butt section with a shorter top section, they pack down much shorter than conventional two-piece rods while still behaving like proper carp rods when assembled.
Designed by Free Spirit and exclusive to us, the Tel’E’-Class blank platform is slim, crisp and fast-recovering, with progressive fish-playing actions and the balance needed for short- to medium-range carp fishing, boat work, stalking, travel and heavier specialist use. The range runs from the refined 10’ 2.25lb model through to the powerful 10’ 4.50lb and ultra-compact 6’ 3.25lb, giving builders a compact blank platform without losing the feel, control and dependable performance expected from the ‘E’-Class name.
The key to the design is the combination of a telescopic butt section and a shorter top section. This gives each model a greatly reduced transport length while retaining a proper working action once extended. Low-diameter tips help the blanks compress smoothly with minimal effort, making them forgiving to cast and easy to use accurately at short to medium range.
Each blank carries the distinctive 45° 1K weave finish associated with the Tel’E’-Class identity, giving a clear visual link to the wider ‘E’-Class family while adding a smart, modern technical look. The blanks are designed for builders who want compactness, portability and practical versatility, but who still require a serious blank rather than a compromise made purely for transport convenience.

The 10’ 3.25lb and 10’ 3.50lb blanks sit at the heart of the range, providing the balance of casting ease, fish-playing feel and reserve power needed for short-range carp fishing, travel use and stronger close-range control. They are ideal where portability matters but the rod still needs to feel composed and capable on the bank.
Lighter Specimen Blank
The 10’ 2.25lb blank is the more refined option, suited to lighter applications where finesse, enjoyment and a more forgiving playing action matter most. It is a compact blank for delicate work, smaller venues and anglers who want a more sporting feel.
Heavy Specialist & Portable Utility Blank
The 10’ 4.50lb blank provides the most power in the range. It is suited to demanding work, heavier fishing, compact travel duties or use as a short portable spod-style blank where payload authority and durability are more important than finesse.
Ultra-Compact Close-Quarters Blank
The 6’ 3.25lb blank is built for stalking, hit-and-hold situations and the tightest swims, where a very short working length becomes a genuine advantage. It is also the most travel-friendly option in the range, with the finished rod closing to just 30” (765mm) in standard build form.
