‘E’-Class blanks use high-quality Japanese carbons with a 45° diagonal 1k weave to deliver the crisp, responsive feel and progressive control that have made the ‘E’-Class name so trusted. The range is designed for anglers and builders who want the proven ‘E’-Class blank action as the starting point for their own custom build.
Designed by Free Spirit and exclusive to us, these blanks combine slim diameters, low-diameter tips and efficient loading characteristics, helping the rod compress naturally and recover cleanly. That makes the blanks easy to time at practical fishing ranges while still giving the stability and authority required for more demanding work.
The modern 45° diagonal 1k weave gives the refreshed ‘E’-Class platform its distinctive look, while the Perdurable finish avoids unnecessary paint or lacquer weight and helps preserve the natural carbon appearance over time. The result is a clean, purposeful blank that retains the familiar E-Class identity while bringing the presentation fully up to date.
The ‘E’-Class blank range is deliberately focused around the models we offer as blanks: short-range carp, core carp, stepped-up carp, SPM and spod. We do not currently offer ‘E’-Class Specialist, Barbel or Surface Creeper blanks, so this section only covers the blank models listed below.

‘E’-Class Blank Uses
Short-Range Carp Blanks
The 10’ ‘E’-Class blanks are designed for close-to-medium range carp fishing where accuracy, compact handling and control matter more than pure distance. The 10’ 3.00lb gives a versatile balance for smaller venues, boats, tight banks and accurate light-to-medium lead work, while the 10’ 3.50lb adds more authority for snag fishing, weed, heavier leads and hit-and-hold situations.
Carp Blanks
The 12’ and 13’ carp blanks form the core of the ‘E’-Class blank offer. The 12’ 3.25lb and 12’ 3.50lb cover a broad spread of UK carp fishing, balancing casting performance with progressive fish-playing control. The 12’ 3.50lb SU and 13’ 3.50lb SU step up the power for bigger waters, longer casts, heavier leads and more demanding venues where extra stability through the butt and mid-section is required.
SPM Blanks
The ‘E’-Class SPM blanks are versatile baiting and marker-style tools with a more forgiving, responsive tip than the dedicated Spod blanks. This makes them particularly effective for short-to-medium range accuracy, small to medium spods and Spombs, and situations where the blank needs to compress smoothly rather than feel overly stiff.
Spod Blanks
The dedicated ‘E’-Class Spod blanks are built for heavier payloads, repeated casting and long-range baiting work. They offer more tip stability and greater overall authority than the SPM blanks, making them the choice when the load is heavier and the blank needs to recover cleanly after sustained use.
