Designed for the kind of carp fishing that happens fast and close, the ‘E’-Class Creepers are compact, responsive tools made for instinctive fishing—quiet placement, quick reactions, and direct control under the tip. Built on high-quality Japanese carbons, the blanks are kept slim, crisp, and fast in recovery, giving you that clean ‘E’-Class feel in a format purpose-built for tight swims, snaggy edges, and opportunist work.
They are not just short for convenience. The reduced length changes how the rod behaves in real fishing situations: you can keep a lower profile in cramped pegs, place rigs quietly under cover, and react instantly when a fish powers off at close quarters. In genuinely tight or shaggy swims, that compact format also gives a real mechanical advantage, letting you apply more direct pressure and steer fish away from danger quickly and efficiently.
All Creepers are built as two-piece rods, including the 6’ Tree Creeper, so transport lengths stay impressively practical. The 6’ and 7’6” models are especially easy to carry and store, making them ideal to keep ready for touring, stalking, or opportunist sessions when travel convenience matters just as much as performance.
The ‘E’-Class Creepers are built to the same modern ‘E’-Class standard as the compact carp rods with added full EVA handle: 45° diagonal 1K weave, black fittings, Clone carbon reel seat with black hoods, black ‘S’-Lite Slim lined guides, and the subtle gold whipping nod above the handle. The stock build is kept clean, light and purposeful, giving these short rods the crisp feel and fast response needed for stalking, margin fishing and close-quarters control. In the shorter lengths, they also make excellent travel rods, with convenient transport lengths that are easy to keep in the car or pack for opportunist sessions. As with other Free Spirit rods, they can also be custom built to individual requirements, with handle, fitting and finish options available to suit personal preference.

Builds
Our standard stock build is a modern full EVA black build, designed to keep the rods light, crisp and perfectly balanced for stalking, margin and surface fishing. This includes black Acetal collars and butt cap, black reel seat hoods, a matching Clone reel seat, matt black framed guides and an anti-frap tip ring. As with other Free Spirit rods, these can also be custom built with other handle options, alternative fittings and other changes to suit individual tastes, giving anglers the option to create a more traditional or personalised finish where required.
