‘E’-Class Specialist & Barbel Rods

‘E’-Class Specialist & Barbel rods build on the pedigree of the original ‘E’-Class Gold specialist range, updating that proven performance with the latest Japanese carbons and an attractive 45° 1K wrap. Designed for anglers who need more finesse, sensitivity and versatility than a standard carp rod can offer, they combine slim, responsive blanks with progressive power and carefully balanced actions. The range covers the full spectrum of specimen fishing, from tench, bream, chub and perch through to barbel work on rivers of varying size and pace. Equally at home on stillwaters, rivers and mixed-discipline venues, these rods offer the control, bite detection and fish-playing confidence needed for modern specialist angling, while retaining the dependable ‘E’-Class character that made the original Gold models so highly regarded.

Description

SPECIALIST & BARBEL RODS

Refined Specialist Actions. Progressive ‘E’-Class Power.

The ‘E’-Class Specialist & Barbel range extends the proven ‘E’-Class formula into serious mixed-discipline specimen fishing, with refined actions, slim responsive blanks and the control needed for rivers, stillwaters and demanding modern tactics. Built using high-quality Japanese carbons with the attractive 45° 1K wrap, these rods combine a crisp, modern feel with the progressive power and reliability that made the original ‘E’-Class Gold specialist rods so well regarded.

The range has been designed to cover the full spectrum of specimen angling, from roach, chub, tench, bream and perch through to barbel on rivers of varying size and pace. Lighter models suit small rivers, delicate presentation and stillwater feeder work, while the more powerful Barbel models step up for bigger feeders, stronger flows, weedy swims, long-range fishing and heavy-water conditions.

A key part of the range is the use of two-top models, giving anglers both Avon and quiver options in one highly practical package. The Avon tops provide smooth progressive power for float work, legering and controlling better fish, while the quiver tops add sensitivity and bite detection for finer feeder work, winter fishing and shy bites. This gives superb versatility at a very competitive price point.

The 11’ 1.50lb is a multi-species small-river rod, ideal for roving, chub, winter roach and snaggy swims where accuracy and control matter. The 12’ 1.50lb is the true all-rounder for bream, tench and summer river conditions, while the 12’ 1.75lb becomes the ultimate all-round specimen rod, covering longer-range feeder work, weedy stillwaters, chub and barbel in most normal situations.

For more demanding work, the 12’ 2.25lb adds the power needed for bigger rivers, larger barbel, heavier feeders and long-range tench or bream fishing where reserve strength is important. The 12’ 2.50lb Avon model is aimed at extreme-range lake work, big feeders and powerful river flows where larger leads must hold bottom. At the top of the range, the 13’ 2.75lb Avon model is the ultimate heavy-water barbel rod, giving extra length to keep the rod high, control line or braid in heavy flow and punch big leads or feeders across wide rivers and weir pools.

All models are finished with Full Cork handles for comfort, grip and traditional specialist feel during long sessions. With reliable actions, carefully chosen specifications and strong value built into the package, the ‘E’-Class Specialist & Barbel range offers modern, versatile rods that genuinely perform across a wide range of specimen fishing situations.
