‘S’-Range blanks use low-resin Japanese 36T carbon with an attractive full-length 3k weave, giving them the smooth, progressive and confidence-inspiring feel that has made the ‘S’ Range a genuine Free Spirit classic. Designed by Free Spirit and made exclusively for us, these blanks are for anglers and builders who value a more forgiving action, clean compression and connected fish-playing control rather than the overly stiff character of many modern blanks.
The low-resin construction helps keep the blank responsive and stable, while the progressive curve cushions lunges, protects lighter lines and reduces the risk of hook pulls. This makes the ‘S’-Range platform especially suitable where feel, forgiveness and control matter as much as outright power.
‘S’-Range blanks are finished with a full-length 3k weave and Perdurable finish. No paint or lacquer is applied after precision grinding, so the quality of the carbon remains visible while avoiding the chipping and flaking associated with painted blanks.

‘S’-Range Blank Uses
Carp & Compact Carp Blanks
The ‘S’-Range carp blanks cover compact 10’ models, an 11’ TS option and the established 12’ CS, KS, ES, XS and XS’ive actions. The lighter CS and KS blanks make excellent softer-action specimen tools for carp, tench and bream, while the ES and XS models cover the heart of mainstream carp fishing with a smooth, progressive feel.
The compact 10’ blanks are designed for smaller waters, stalking, short sessions and boat work, giving the same progressive ‘S’-Range action in a shorter and highly practical format. The XS’ive provides the most powerful carp blank in this group for bigger payloads and more demanding venues.
Stalking & Surface Blanks
The Tree Creeper, Margin Creeper and Surface Creeper blanks bring the ‘S’-Range character into short, mobile and delicate presentation work. They are suited to confined swims, margin fishing, stalking and surface work where casting control, cushioning and close-range fish-playing are more important than brute force.
Specialist & Barbel Blanks
The ‘S’-Range Specialist and Barbel blanks use the same low-resin 36T carbon platform but are tuned for species such as tench, bream, chub and barbel. The Seeker Specialist blank provides a softer, progressive all-round specimen action, while the Barbel Seeker and Big River Barbel blanks add more authority for rivers, stronger flows and demanding conditions where bite registration and controlled pressure are essential.
The Barbel Seeker blanks provide versatile 11’ and 12’ river options, the Seeker Specialist blank offers a softer 12’ specimen action, and the Big River Barbel blank adds more reserve power for larger rivers, heavier flows and conditions where extra control through the lower section is required.
