Creepers bring the same Seeker DNA into stalking, margin work and surface fishing, but with a build and action specifically tuned for close-range control, subtle presentation and accuracy. They utilise high quality Japanese carbons and are finished in the same diagonal woven cosmetic style, giving a sharp, modern black appearance that feels purposeful rather than showy.
All Creeper models are built with full shrink handles, chosen for that modern look and direct, locked-in feel—ideal when you’re moving swims or needing maximum control when a fish powers off under the tip. Performance-wise, the Creepers are designed around slim, efficient tapers with fine tip diameters that help the blanks load quickly and recover cleanly, keeping them slim, light and accurate for the methods they’re built to fish.
The 9’ Creeper Margin is all about convenience and control—compact for tight swims and roving, long enough to cast into awkward holes, and superb once hooked up, giving excellent leverage under the rod top for big carp and hit-and-hold work. The 11’ Creeper Surface is the all-round surface rod with a soft enough tip for free-lining or small controllers and the backbone to control large carp. The 12’ Creeper Surface is designed for larger set-ups and longer range on bigger waters when fish drift out of range or you need to follow the free offerings further out into the lake.
To keep things focused on the way these rods are most commonly used, we only offer Creepers with SeaGuide TDG Steel Lined guides. UK-style stalking and surface fishing is predominantly done with mono, and in our opinion that combination makes the most sense: the matt black framed TDG guides keep overall weight down, retain a crisp, responsive feel on these slim blanks, and offer excellent day-to-day durability. The build is deliberately sleek and modern, with black Acetal collars and butt cap, black reel seat hoods, a matching Clone reel seat and an anti-frap tip ring, giving the rods a clean, understated look that perfectly suits their fast, lightweight close-range character.

Builds
Our standard stock build is a modern abbreviated black build, designed to keep the rods light, crisp and perfectly balanced for stalking, margin and surface fishing. This includes black Acetal collars and butt cap, black reel seat hoods, a matching Clone reel seat, matt black framed guides and an anti-frap tip ring. As with other Free Spirit rods, these can also be custom built with full handles, alternative fittings and other changes to suit individual tastes, giving anglers the option to create a more traditional or personalised finish where required.

Creeper Margin 9’ – Full Shrink is the close-range control rod in the range, built for tight swims, stalking, margin fishing and roving. Compact and accurate, it is ideal for short casts, fishing under trees or cover, and controlling big carp directly under the rod tip in snaggy hit-and-hold situations.

All-round surface and floater fishing:
Creeper Surface 11’ – Full Shrink is the all-round surface rod, with a soft, forgiving tip for free-lining, small controllers and quiet, accurate presentation. Light and responsive in the hand, it still has enough backbone further down the blank to control powerful carp when they are hooked close in or near cover.

Longer-range surface control:
Creeper Surface 12’ – Full Shrink is the longer surface option for bigger waters and situations where extra reach and casting range are needed. Ideal for larger controllers and following free offerings further out as carp drift beyond shorter-rod range, it gives added line control while retaining the forgiveness needed for surface fishing.
