‘E’-Class SPM & Spod Rods

‘E’-Class SPM and Spod rods build on the huge success of the original ‘E’-Class Gold SPM and Spod models, which became go-to baiting rods for many anglers across Europe thanks to their outstanding price-to-performance balance. The new ‘E’-Class takes that proven formula and refines it for modern carp fishing, delivering slim, stable and fast-recovering blanks built for repeated casting under load. Constructed from high-quality Japanese carbons with a clean 45° 1K weave finish, they offer the power, rhythm and accuracy needed for serious baiting work without feeling heavy or tiring in use. Whether working lighter Spombs at range with the SPM models or repeatedly delivering heavier payloads with the dedicated Spod rods, ‘E’-Class gives anglers dependable Free Spirit performance in a practical, hard-working package.

Description

SPOD, SPM & MARKER RODS

Built for Rhythm. Designed for Accuracy.

‘E’-Class SPM and Spod rods are built for the repetitive work at the heart of modern carp fishing, using high-quality Japanese carbons and the same clean 45° diagonal 1K weave finish that defines the range. The blanks are kept slim, light, and stable under load, with fast recovery that helps you build rhythm quickly and keep clipped casting consistent without the rods feeling overly harsh or cumbersome in the hand.

The SPM models are the more versatile tools. With a slightly faster, more responsive tip, they help smaller spods and spombs turn over cleanly and fly straighter, which is especially useful at short to medium range where timing and accuracy matter most. That more forgiving response also makes them excellent crossover rods for marker work, and the 10’ SPM in particular pairs especially well with 10’ carp rods, sharing the same compact feel and excelling in compression and accuracy at short to medium distances.

The dedicated Spod rods step in when payloads get heavier, and repeated baiting becomes more demanding. Their stiffer, more purposeful tip gives greater stability under load and a firmer shut-off, making them better suited to larger spods, heavier payloads, and longer-range baiting where you want the rod to absorb the strain and recover cleanly cast after cast.

For comfort during long sessions of repetitive casting, the ‘E’-Class SPM and Spod models use a DNPS20 reel seat, while the 10’ SPM uses a DPS18, giving it a more compact feel that suits the rod’s shorter format particularly well. All models also carry 1’ and 2’ depth marks on the blank, making them practical for marker work, wrapping up, and repeatable distance setting.
